Welcome to The Outdoor Inn

Our sincere thanks to all the B&B customers we've had over the years, but we are converting to whole-house rental, 2-3 night minimum as of 5 July 2009. The one exception is the three night period of 16,17 and 18 July where we still have open rooms for our last hooray as a B&B. Please join us then for a room and breakfast, or at any other time as a vacation rental. All the best; Dale and Debbie.

The Outdoor Inn is a beautiful Tybee home with a great room and porch, dining areas and main floor bath rooms. If a private bath is required, the upstairs Suite has both private bath and a private balcony. The inn is available for weddings, receptions, events, meetings and retreats.

The view from the large screened porch of the Outdoor Inn looks south across miles of salt marsh and winding creeks. It's a great place to sit in the evenings and watch the egrets and herons that frequent the creek.

Indoors, guests can relax in the comfortable great room, enjoying the book selections or studying the many charts available. There is e fully equipped kitchen. The main floor has three private rooms. The top floor is a family suite that includes a private hot-tub bath, two rooms (one very large and one very small), and a private balcony with sweeping views of the marsh. Two outdoor showers with hot and cold water are available to all for after boating or a day at the beach.

The Inn is a ten minute walk from Tybee's North Beach or a 15 minute bike ride to anywhere else on the island, including the pier on the South Beach at the Strand. We're just far enough away from the center of things to find peace and quiet, when that's what you need.

The Outdoor Inn is located next door to Sea Kayak Georgia, one of the Country's premier sea kayaking schools where kayaks, gear, lessons, guides, and logistical support are available. We are across the street from Georges', one of Tybee's three 4/5 star restaurants.

In addition to kayaking, Tybee Island has lots of other fun things to offer, including bike rentals, bird watching, walks, dolphin tours, fishing charters, kite boarding, para sailing, jet ski and surfboard rentals. Don't miss the Civil War era Fort Pulaski, the Tybee Island Marine Science Center, and the Tybee Lighthouse, with spectacular views and a history that spans more than 250 years.
